Madison Croy
Summer Law Clerk
Madison Croy is a law student at California Western School of Law where she is a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation and Criminal Law Association.
Madison spent her first summer of law school working in the Innocence and Justice Clinic at Cal Western. She then continued volunteering with the Clinic throughout her second year of law school. It was through her work at the Innocence and Justice Clinic (formerly California Innocence Project) where she became dedicated to post-conviction.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Madison grew up inspired by her mother and her work as a nonprofit family law attorney and by her loving sister who conquers her own obstacles every day, despite having down syndrome.
Madison graduated from Boise State University. She graduated with a a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Her Criminal Law 101 professor inspired her to apply to law school. Madison was also motivated to go to law school after reading the books, Courtroom 302: A Year Behind the Scenes in an American Criminal Courthouse and The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness in college.

In her free time, Madison spends her time visiting her family, reading psychological thrillers, listening to true crime podcasts, and crocheting.
